A new survey sought to find out North American\u2019s attitudes about marijuana. The survey included the perennial favorite question: If you could share a marijuana session with anyone, who would it be?<\/p>\n

Perhaps not surprisingly, the list is topped by rapper \u2013 and big time legalized marijuana supporter \u2013 Snoop Dogg<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And just as non-surprising, not many would want to share a cannabis moment with President Donald Trump \u2013 which is just as well, as he says he\u2019s never tried it.<\/p>\n

The survey<\/a>, conducted by marketing research firm PSB for the website Civilized, looked to get details on the views of both Americans and Canadians on marijuana legalization. \u00a0They also asked, \u201cIf you could smoke a joint with a celebrity, who would it be?\u201d<\/p>\n

The Celebrity Favorites<\/h2>\n

Snoop Dogg came out on top, with 35 percent of Americans and 35 percent of Canadians saying he is their top pick. That\u2019d probably come as welcome news to the rapper, who has been a supporter of marijuana about as long as he has been in the celebrity spotlight<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The other favorites included the following.<\/p>\n

Willie Nelson<\/strong>. The legendary singer and songwriter got 19 percent of the American vote and 15 percent of the Canadian vote. Like Snoop Dog, Nelson has long been a cannabis advocate and even has his own brand<\/a> of marijuana.<\/p>\n

Tommy Chong<\/strong>. Good to know Tommy Chong is still on everyone\u2019s radar. A trailblazer in moving marijuana into mainstream culture as part of a comedy duo with Cheech Marin in the 1970s and early 1980s, Chong also has been a strong proponent for legalizing cannabis. Nine percent of Canadians voted for Chong (he\u2019s originally from Canada), while 8 percent of Americans picked him.<\/p>\n

Political Favorites<\/h3>\n

Barack Obama<\/strong>. How about this? A former president ranks near the top of the list. Nearly 1 in 10 Americans picked Obama, propelling him to No. 4. Obama was always upfront about his use of marijuana while younger, but if you really want to have a joint with him you are out of luck \u2013 he gave it up years ago.<\/p>\n

Justin Trudeau<\/strong>. It has to say something about the coolness of elected officials (well, some of them) if two are in the top 5 on this list. Trudeau, the prime minister of Canada, is seeking to get marijuana legalized at the national level for both medical and recreational use. While Trudeau said he has tried marijuana, he never became a fan.<\/p>\n

Honorable Mentions<\/h3>\n

The rest of the list includes Bob Marley (kind of impossible, as he has been dead since 1981), Trump, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Woody Harrelson, Seth Rogen and Cheech Marin.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
