Is there anything in the world with more names than marijuana? While marijuana culture and slang terms can\u2019t be scientifically proven, the answer must be \u201cno.\u201d<\/p>\n

Marijuana Culture<\/h2>\n

Maybe it\u2019s because the use of weed had to be hidden for so many years. Or maybe it\u2019s because people just like using slang. Whatever the case, a whole language has developed around cannabis culture.<\/p>\n

Some of it is a holdout from the days when marijuana was illegal for any reason. With 29 states<\/a> now making it legal for either recreational or medical use, that\u2019s no longer the case. But the slang remains.<\/p>\n

It extends beyond just the name of the plant, but that\u2019s where we\u2019ll start.<\/p>\n

A Rose By Any Other Name<\/h3>\n

Ask anyone who has ever used marijuana and they will tell you the group they hung out with had a special name for it. Some people rolled a \u201cspliff,\u201d others rolled a \u201cjoint.\u201d Some people \u201croll a number.\u201d Some make a \u201cblunt\u201d or a \u201cdoobie.\u201d All the same thing.<\/p>\n

Of course, once your burn one of those, you are \u201chigh\u201d or \u201cstoned.\u201d \u00a0But you don\u2019t have to say you\u2019re high or stoned. You can say you\u2019re blitzed. Blazed. Bouldered. Baked. And that\u2019s just the \u201cBs.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for marijuana itself \u2013 it\u2019s seemingly endless. In this article alone it\u2019s already been called marijuana, cannabis and weed. More slang terms include Mary Jane and ganja. But that\u2019s just scratching the surface.<\/p>\n
