Overview

Magnolia Wellness is one of the few dedicated marijuana dispensaries in California that prioritizes the health and well-being of its members as its primary focus. Their belief is that life should be about sharing experiences that create joy, awe, and wonder. And, that cannabis can be a catalyst for those experiences. Magnolia’s onsite consumption lounge is designed to be a “third destination” outside of home and work where people from all walks of life can learn about and share cannabis experiences together in a safe, open way. By hosting musical acts, art exhibitions, comedy shows, and other cultural and community events, Magnolia hopes to help normalize cannabis and make it more accessible. Magnolia also offers educational classes and patient-focused social service programs designed to create a safe haven for people to learn, experience, and connect over transformational cannabis experiences. In addition, Magnolia’s goal is to make the cannabis buying experience as inviting and compassionate as possible. This is rooted in their core belief that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the real power of cannabis. And as one of the few dispensaries in the country that employs a full-time registered nurse, members can book individualized appointments to help guide their purchasing decisions. Outside the dispensary, the team is deeply involved in various community outreach programs including a social equity and business accelerator program that provides opportunities for minority-owned businesses to get started in the cannabis industry. Magnolia Wellness is much more than a retail cannabis shop; it’s a vibrant community hub in West Oakland.
